Job Description

As the Head of Technical SEO at Find.co, you will lead the optimization of our diverse website portfolio. You’ll audit, monitor, and analyze technical SEO to ensure best practices, aiming to surpass Google standards and outperform competitors. We’re seeking a hands-on SEO expert who can drive large-scale changes, supported by our dedicated product and development teams. This role reports to our  Director of SEO.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute technical SEO strategies with short, medium, and long-term goals.
• Monitor and improve key technical SEO metrics in collaboration with the Director and VP.
• Serve as the primary contact for all technical SEO matters.
• Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits to enhance performance.
• Manage scores related to Core Web Vitals, site health, mobile friendliness, sitemaps, crawl budget, and site navigation.
• Ensure compliance with Google’s Page Experience requirements.
• Create and manage strategies for IL8N, including landing pages and dynamic data.
• Lead website migrations, ensuring SEO integrity.
• Innovate and improve SEO tools and practices.
• Advocate for new technical SEO developments and technologies.
• Maintain sitemap and feed health for Google News and Discover.

Requirements

• Translate SEO requirements into business-friendly language.
• Advanced knowledge of website crawling, especially for dynamic sites with over 1 million pages.
• Proficiency with log file analysis tools to optimize search engine interactions.
• Comfortable discussing modern web technologies with Product and Engineering teams.
• Proficient in XPath and Regular Expressions.
• Comprehensive understanding of SEO best practices, including robots.txt, sitemaps, IL8N notation, JavaScript SEO, and image optimization.

Tools & Experience

• Expertise with tools like Lumar/DeepCrawl/Botify, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, AHREFs/SEMRush, and Google Search Console.
• Experience building and training technical SEO teams.
• Establish best practices within a technical SEO team.
• Managing the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to post-production review.
• Collaborating with Product teams to create SEO-friendly solutions.
• Solving issues related to dynamic serving.
• Managing large site migrations.
• Creating automated monitoring and alerting systems to minimize manual effort.
